Sunday, July 7th “712 Day Party 2024 Osaka”

西暦２０００年に「少年ナイフ国会」により、７月１２日を「少年ナイフの日」と制定。２００１年から「712 Day Party」と銘打って、７月１２日周辺に国内ツアーを毎年開催しています。今年はなんと２４回目！会場は大阪・心斎橋のANIMAです。
家でありあわせの食材で早めの昼ご飯。野菜不足か？！ともあれ、お腹は満足しました。
In 2000, the “Shonen Knife Diet” established July 12th as “Shonen Knife Day”. Since 2001, we have been holding a domestic tour around July 12th every year called the “712 Day Party.” This year is the 24th! The venue in Osaka was ANIMA, Shinsaibashi.
I had an early lunch at home. Is there a lack of vegetables? ! Anyway, my stomach was satisfied.

アニマ着。機材搬入、グッズコーナーセッティング、サウンドチェックを済ませる。
Arrived at ANIMA and did load on. I prepared for the merch and finished sound check.
そしてライブ！今回は特別２部構成。
第１部のセットリスト！6曲目、11曲目はドラマーりささんリードヴォーカル、7曲目、12曲目はベースあつこさんリードヴォーカルです。
We played 2 parts of the set.
This is the Set List for Part 1! #6 and #11 are drummer Risa’s lead vocal. #7 and #12 are bassist Atsuko’s lead vocal.

満員の会場で大変盛り上がり、１部が終了。２部がはじまるまで約１０分間の休憩。この間に、７０年代の人気ラジオ番組「オールナイトニッポン」風に録音した、私がDJのラジオ番組を流しました。
メンバーは１０分で衣装替え。そして第２部がスタート！
第２部はカバー曲集です。2、4、6曲目はベースあつこさんリードヴォーカル。4曲目と5曲目は今回が初披露です。What is Lifeはあつこさんの選曲、Invisible Touchは私の選曲。
Our show of the first part was successfully finished at a packed venue. There was 10 minutes break before the 2nd part. We aired my self radio DJ program which I recorded beforehand.
Members of the band changed the stage costumes in 10 minutes then started the 2nd part! The set was consist of all cover songs. 2, 4 and 6 were sang by Atsuko. It was the first time for us to play 4 and 5. “What is life” was selected by Atsuko and I chose “Invisible Touch”.

自分の好きなバンドの好きな曲を演奏するのは楽しいです。英語の歌詞を覚えるのは一苦労ですが。お客さんにも喜んでいただけた様子、うれしかったです。ライブにお越しいただいた方々に感謝いたします。ありがとう！
It was very fun to play my favorite bands’ songs. It was a hard work for me to memorize English lyrics, though. Our audience seemed happy for the set and I was so happy to see them. Thank you for coming to our show!

After show, we load out and went home. I had Yakitori for late dinner and went to bed. Yum, yum, Yakitori!
