10時半にホテルを出て、ジャックさんのオフィスへ行き、荷物の積み込み。雨が降っててかなわんかった。車の荷台はぎゅーぎゅー詰め。

We left the hotel at 10:30 and went to Jack’s office to load our luggage into the van. It was raining and hard to work. The back of the van was so busy by tons of luggage.

英国では、防水透湿性素材の靴必須。車内用足拭き雑巾も必須。寒いけど、積み込みで汗をダラダラかいちゃった。

GoreTex is necessary for the UK. I need some towels for the floor, too. I sweated a lot by loading.

まずはドーバー海峡を渡るためフォークストーンへ向かう。途中サービスエリアのマクドナルドで、クリスピーチキンサラダを食べた。飲み物はブラックコーヒー。

We drove to Forkestone to cross Dover channel. I ate crispy chicken salad at McDonald’s in a track stop. I drank a cup of black coffee.

ツアマネのペップさんは、紅茶とサンドイッチ食べてはった。英国紳士だね。

Our tour manager, British gentleman Pep had a pot of tea and sandwiches.

車でしばらく走って、ユーロトンネルの乗り場、フォークストーン着。

Driving a while and arrived at the entrance of the Euro tunnel, Forkestone.

乗り場にある免税店へ。

Went to a duty free shop there,

お酒や香水以外にお土産物色々売ってた。

They sold many souvenirs beside alcohol and perfume.

ハリーポッターグッズも充実。エクスペクトパトローナム！

There were many Harry Potter goods. Expecto patronum!

いざ、ユーロトンネルシャトルに乗り込むよ。

車でそのまま乗り込む巨大な列車。

It’s a big train which we can board in a car.

シャトル内。車に乗って、ドア開けてシートに座ってブログ書いてたらあっという間にフランスのカレー到着。

In the shuttle. Opening the door, sitting on the seat, I was staying in our van and was writing my blog. It arrived at Coquilles very quickly.

周り特に何もないところを2時間弱走って今日の宿に到着。

We drove almost 2 hours and arrived at the hotel.

ホテルの外へ晩御飯食べに行こうと探したけど、今日は「ヨーロッパ戦勝記念日」(今日、始めてそういう祝日あるの知ったわ。) の祝日だそうで、飲食店は大体午後7時で閉店してた。なので、ホテルのレストランで食べる事になった。

We tried to eat outside but most of all restaurant was closed at 7pm because of European Victory Day. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant.

私は、「前菜食べ放題」とビール。

I ordered “All you can eat starters” and beer.

りさちゃんは、ステーキをレアで。肉女子笑顔。

Risa looked happy with rare steak. She loves meat.

みんなで記念撮影。ツアー中みんなが健康に過ごせるように。乾杯！
