歩きずぎると膝が腫れるので、宿でゆっくりしておこうと思ったけど、調子が良さそうなので、午後1時ごろ、遅めの昼食を取るため、Lyftのアプリでタクシーを呼んで、あつこと2人、リトルイタリーのレストランへ。
I was thinking that it is better for me to stay in the hotel room because I had swollen knee but it seemed better and I decided to go out. I called a cab using a taxi application Lyft to go to Little Italy for late lunch with Atsuko. It was around 1pm.
イタリア料理店で、サンフランシスコの海鮮シチュー、チョッピーノというのを注文。これで約2名用の分量です。蟹の身が取りやすいように上手い具合に捌いてあります。海鮮の下の方にペンネが入っています。トマト煮込みで味は割とさっぱりとしていました。フランスパンが付け合わせとして出されるので、これだけでお腹いっぱいになります。
We ordered Cioppino at an Italian restaurant. It is sea food stew from San Francisco. This portion is 2 people. Crab shell was broken and it was easy to eat. There were penne underneath the sea food. The taste was not so thick and taste of tomato and sea food. French bread was served with Cioppino and these are enough to eat. I got full.
この辺りは、道のポールがイタリアの旗の色にペイントされています。
Poles around here were painted of Italian flag color.
その後、リトルイタリーの隣の中華街へ。ニューヨークのマンハッタンもリトルイタリーと中華街が隣り合っているよね。ここの中華街はとても大きい。
After lunch, we walked to China Town next to Little Italy. Little Italy and China Town are next to each other in Manhattan, NY, too. China Town here is huge.

中国か台湾にいるみたいな気分になってくる。中華のパン屋さんでカステラ等買いました。
I felt like I was in China or Taiwan. I bought some cakes at a Chinese bakery.
そこからボチボチ歩いてフィッシャーマンズワーフへ。左膝は、サポーターをしてゆっくり歩いていたので案外大丈夫だった。
We walked slowly to Fisherman’s Wharf. I wore a supporter on my left knee and there was no trouble.
サンフランシスコの坂は急だなぁ。
Slopes in San Francisco are steep.
アルカトラズ島。

町に水兵さんがたくさん歩いていると思ったら、軍艦が停泊していた。水兵さんの制服めちゃめちゃカワイイ。
I saw many sailors in town today. It because of a warship was anchoring. The uniform of sailors were very cool.
ピア45のレトロゲームが置いてあるゲーセンへ。
We went to Musee Mecanique which is a game arcade of retro games.
これは、レトロじゃないね。海の近くだからパイレーツオブカリビアン。
This is not a retro game. Pirates of Caribbean because of close to the ocean.
怖っ。25セントコイン入れたら、にんぎょうが動いて子供の泣き声が聞こえてきます。
Scary! If you put one 25 cent coin, these dolls will move and you hear the baby’s crying.
バイソンの闘い。

50セント入れたら釜からカプセルが出てきます。
Put two 25 cent coins and a capsule will coming from the oven.
この、思いっきりちゃっちい指輪が出てきた。
This very cheap ring came out.
手相マシーン。お金を入れて手をのせたら、手の下の穴から「スキャンしてるつもり」みたいに動くイボイボが出てくる。うまく説明できないけど。
Palm reading machine. Put coins and place a hand on the board. This machine starts to “scan” your palm. “Scanning” is like a massage machine.

シーフードの屋台が並んでいます。90年代にここら辺で、少年ナイフのメンバー3人がレオタード着て、買ったまるごとの蟹を手に持って雑誌の写真撮影した事が思い出されるなぁ。
These are seafood market. Members of Shonen Knife in 90’s did a photo session around here. Our costumes for the photo session were leotards and holding boiled crab from these market.
アプリでタクシー呼んで帰ろうと思ったけど、調べたら道路が渋滞していたので、コーヒーショップで脚を休めつつ、しばらくゆっくりしていました。今日は30分ぐらい歩いたけど、左膝があまり腫れなくてよかった。
We tried to go back to the hotel by taxi application but traffic jam was happening. For avoid it, we relaxed at a coffee shop for a while. I walked about 30 minutes but not so much swollen. It was good.
スーパーでビール等を買って、タクシー呼んでホテルへ。しかし、タクシーアプリ、便利やわ。助かる。晩御飯はお腹が空いていなかったので、ビールと中華のパン屋さんで買ったマドレーヌを食べてブログ書いて就寝。
We bought something like beer and call a cab to the hotel. Taxi application is very useful and helpful. I wasn’t hungry. I ate nothing but beer and a piece of cake, wrote blog and went to bed.
