Sunday, May 31st at Juso Fandango Osaka “Basement Loud”
私たちがいつもお世話になっている四ツ橋LMスタジオ のイベントに出してもらいました。
りつこちゃんが産休に入ってから初めてのライブです。ベースはなるちゃん。かつては、自身のバンド、ワンダー3、それからマミーザピープショーで活躍しておられました。この日のライブは、なるちゃんにとって何と（！）12年ぶりのステージだそうですが、ボトムのしっかりした、骨太な演奏を聴かせてくれましたよ。バックボーカルもばっちりでした！712 Day Partyにも出演してもらいますが、これからが楽しみなベーシストです。なるちゃんは、ポールマッカートニーが好きということで、ベースはリッケンバッカーです。
The event was organized by Yotsubashi LM studio where we usually reherse.
It was the first show after Ritsuko’s maternity leave. Our bassist was Naru for this show. She played at her own band “Wonder 3” and “Mummy the peep show” as a bassist. It was her first show after 12 years but her bass play was thick and accurate. Her backing vocal was great, too. She will play at 712 Day Party tour in Japan. I’m looking forward to play with her. She likes Paul McCartney and used Rickenbacker.
セットは30分。イベントなので、少年ナイフを初めて見るお客さんもたくさんおられるだろうと、ベストヒットな選曲をしました。タイトにぶっ飛ばせたのではないでしょうか。海外からのお客さんもすこぶるたくさんおられて、ありがたい限り。アメリカツアーでのライブに行くよ！と声をかけて下さった方もおられました。
Our set was 30 minutes. It was an event and I was thinking that there might be many audience who have never seen Shonen Knife so I made a set list with best hit songs. I’m sure we could make tight sound. There were many audience who came from overseas. Thank you so much!!! There was a gentleman who told me that he will come to our U.S. show.
さて、ドラムのえみちゃん、6月のアメリカツアー、そして7月の712 Day Partyをもってバンドを脱退することになりました。えみちゃん自身の生活とツアーの折り合いをつけることが難しいということが主な理由だそうです。その事は、ほんとうによくわかります。とても残念でさびしい限りではありますが。
えみちゃんはこれまで、2010年から5年余りもの長きにわたって大変尽力してくれました。えみちゃんのパフォーマンスは、世界中のたくさんのお客さんに喜んでもらえたことでしょう。えみちゃんの素晴らしい未来を心から応援したいと思っています。6月のアメリカツアーと7月の712 Day Party（東京、名古屋、大阪）、ご都合が合う方は是非お越しください。そして、えみちゃんの勇姿を見に来てください。
By the way, our drummer Emi will leave the band after our US tour in June and 712 Day Party Tour in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka Japan in July. She said that it was difficult to make balance between her private life and tour. I understand her situation. It’s sad and I miss her, though.
Emi played drums for Shonen Knife over 5 years since 2010. It was very long time and I’d like to say thank s For her great effort. I believe that her performance made people happy all over the world. I wish her happiness in the future. She will play two more tours of US tour in June and 712 Day Party tour in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka Japan in July. Please come and see her.
