Sunday, December 1st at Kyoto Metro with Sebadoh
大好きなバンドの一つ、セバドーと一緒にライブをすることになり、12月1日、京都へ行きました。セバドーの中心メンバーLouのかかわっているバンド、Dinosaur Jr.もFolk Implosionもステキですね。ちなみに2007年の11月にアメリカ、ニューヨーク州バッファローで少年ナイフはDinosaur Jr.の前座をしたことがあります。いい経験だったなぁ。
さて、京都メトロ。うれしかったのは、セバドーのメンバーが私達のライブを見てくれていて、ライブ中にコメントしてくれたことです。そして、もっとうれしかったのは、セバドーのライブを見ることができたこと。独特の味わい、音の感触がすばらしい。
We went to Kyoto for a show with Sebadoh, one of my favorite bands on December 1st. I like other Lou’s band Dinosaur Jr. and Folk Implosion, too. Shone Knife have been opened up for Dinosaur Jr. show in Buffalo NY in U.S. in November 2007. It was a good experience for me.
Anyway, Kyoto Metro show. I was so happy because all members for Sebadoh saw our show and they mentioned about us on stage. Above all, it was fantastic that I could see their show. I love their music especially the touch of the sound.
この日は、キングブラザースのケイゾウくんが来てくれて差し入れをもらっちゃいました。ありがとう。かっぱえびせん大好きです。おいしくてすぐに一袋食べちゃいました。注：この特大袋の中に4袋入っているうちの1袋のことです。
Keizo from a Japanese band King Brothers came to the club and gave me “Kappa Ebisen” shrimp snack. Thanks! I like it and ate all of one package after show. There were 4 small bags in this JUMBO bag.
そして、その翌日12月2日（月）、セバドーは大阪のパンゲアで曽我部恵一くんとライブでした。曽我部くんも来られるし、セバドーが好きすぎるので翌日も見に行くことにしました。りっこちゃんもえみちゃんも来ていました。久しぶりに見せてもらった曽我部くんのライブもステキだったし、セバドーのライブをたっぷり見ることができました。
ライブ終了後、曽我部くんと世間話をしたあと、楽屋へおじゃましてセバドーの面々と歓談。仲よく写真を撮りました。来年にでも、アメリカで一緒にライブできたらいいねと話が盛り上がりました。
Then Monday December 2nd, the next day, Sebadoh played with Keiichi Sokabe at a club Pangea in Osaka. I went to Pangea because I really wanted to see Sebadoh show again and see Keiichi. Ritsuko and Emi were there, too. Keiichi played well and I was happy to see Sebadoh show fully.
After show, I talked with Keiichi and went to the dressing room to see the members from Sebadoh. We took a picture and talked that we hope to play together in U.S. next year, too.
